2, 72,512 students apply for 7,128 seats in DU admission test

A total of 2,72,512 admission seekers have applied for undergraduate admission against 7,128 seats under five units in 2018-19 academic session at Dhaka University (DU), reports BSS.

The application process for admission through online was ended at 2pm on August 28, said a DU press release today.

According to the central admission office of DU, 82,970 students applied against 1,750 seats in Ka (A) unit, 36,250 students applied against 2,378 seats of kha (B) unit, 27,534 students applied against 1,250 seats of Ga (C) unit, 1,00614 candidates applied against 1,615 seats of Gha (D) unit and 25,144 students applied against 135 seats of Cha-unit.

A-unit admission test will be held on September 28, B-unit on September 21, C-unit on September 14, D-unit on October 12, Cha-unit (general knowledge) on September 15 and Cha-unit (Drawing) on September 22.

Admit card of ‘C’ and ‘Cha’ units can be downloaded from 3pm on September 5 to 9am of exam day while the admit cards of ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘D’ units will be available from 3pm on September 10 to 9am on exam day.

Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the process of applying for admission through online on July 31.
