70 DU students get Dean’s Award

Seventy meritorious students from different departments under the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University received the Dean’s Award for their outstanding academic performances in the bachelor’s and master’s of business administration examinations.

University vice-chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards among the students at a function held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus on Tuesday. Business studies faculty dean Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam presided over the function while university treasurer Professor Md Kamal Uddin spoke at the programme as a special guest.

President of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nihad Kabir addressed the programme as the event speaker. Chairman of organisation strategy and leadership department Professor Muhammad Abdul Mayeen gave the vote of thanks.

The vice-chancellor encouraged the students to prepare themselves with the combination of merit, truthfulness, patriotism and honesty to become entrepreneurs for developing the country’s socioeconomic condition.
