85.83pc pass JSC, JDC exams; GPA-5 achievers drop

The results of this year’s Junior School Certificate, Junior Dakhil Certificate have been published with the pass rate 85.83 per cent. Among them, a total 68,095 students obtained the highest grade GPA-5 which was 1, 84, 397 last year.

The results of JSC, JDC and Primary Education Completion and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations were handed over to prime minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban on Monday morning.

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copy of results of Junior School Certificate, Junior Dakhil Certificate examinations while primary and mass education minister MostafizurRahman handed over the copy of the results of PEC examination to the prime minister around 10:15am.

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid and primary and mass education minister MostafizurRahman will announce the results officially in separate press briefings at their ministry offices around 12:00pm and 1:00pm respectively.

The Junior School Certificate and Junior Dakhil Certificate examinations were held from November 1 to November 15 with the participation of a total of 26,70,333 examinees.

This year's Primary Education Completion and Ebtedayee Examinations for the fifth graders were held from November 18 to November 26 with the participation of total of 27, 77, 270 students.
