9 DU students receive Dean’s Award

Nine meritorious students from different departments under the Faculty of Pharmacy of Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday received the “Dean’s Award” for their excellent academic results in Bachelor of Pharm examinations of 2015, 2016 and 2017. Besides, 14 more students were also provided scholarship. 

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards and scholarship among the students at a function held at the TSC auditorium of the university. 

Dean of the DU Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Dr SM Abdur Rahman presided over the function while Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad and Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin addressed it as special guests. 

Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy Prof  Dr Sitesh Chandra Bachar delivered the welcome address. 

The DU vice-chancellor called upon the students to prepare themselves with the combination of merit, truthfulness, patriotism and honesty and become good human beings.

The awardees are Fahad Imtiaz Rahman, Mahfuza Afroz Soma, Parsa Sanjana Haque, Poushali Saha, Mahmudul Hasan, Halima Akter, Farzana Kabir, Sabiha Enam Spriha and  Taslima Binte Kamal. 

The recipients of scholarship are Parisa Tamannur Rashid, Mokaddas Flora Ananta, Faria Tasneem, Luba Binte Mahbub, Tanzia Islam Tithi, Nazifa Tabassum, Md Sabbir Hosssain, Saimon Shahriar, Rashmia Nargis Reyda, Sowkat Jahan Shipa, Asef Raj,  Kazi Milenur Rahman Prattay, Ahad Chowdhury and Sadia Tasnim Mina.
