The standing committee recommendations came at a time when the visually impaired job seekers were on indefinite hunger strike in front of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban for jobs, including in the post of resource teachers.

The visually impaired job seekers went on an indefinite hunger strike on Wednesday to press home their demands, including special recruitment in government, autonomous and semi-autonomous offices, recruitment as resource teachers, and Tk 10,000 for visually impaired unemployed graduates.
