The nation now needs a new generation, which will lead it to its peak in terms of development and progress, said President Abdul Hamid yesterday.

“The nation looks to the new generation with the hope that they will come forward for the country’s development. The responsibility of the government is to create an environment conducive for the new generation to utilize opportunities and take the country forward,” he said.

The president was addressing the 12th reunion of Jhenidah Ex-Cadet Association on the premises of the cadet college in Jhenidah.

Mentioning that the present world is becoming more challenging due to continuous changes, innovation and advancement, Abdul Hamid hoped that a proper plan would be in place to inspire people to serve the nation.

“I am sure the young generation will be able to make a big difference and set an example. Bangladesh will find the ladder of development from their strong leadership in the future,” he added.

Hamid asked the present and former students of the cadet college to devote themselves to the welfare of people.

Jhenidah Ex-Cadet Association President SK Maruf Hasan and Principal of Jhenidah Cadet College Col Sadikul Bari also addressed the program.
