CENNOVATION fest held at IUT

With a continuation of previous three years, department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) of Islamic University of Technology (IUT) has organized CENNOVATION, a fest of Civil and Environmental Innovation today at the beautiful campus of IUT for fourth time in a row.

One of the major goals of CENNOVATION is to bring all the engineering students under one roof so that they can share their innovative ideas in the field of Civil, Environment and Architecture. This year CENNOVATION has received tremendous supports from participants from across the country. Over 700 participants from more than 18 universities have registered for different events namely Mechanics Olympia, Poster presentation, Truss Challenge, Case Study Analysis, CAD contest, Environmental photography and short film contest.

Prof. Dr. M. Shamim Z. Bosunia, former President of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) was present as the Chief Guest and Professor Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice-Chancellor of IUT was present as the Chief Petron in the inauguration ceremony along with other guests.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. M. Shamim Z. Bosunia, said that “CENNOVATION is great platform for the upcoming graduates to interact with each other represent their problem solving ideas and most importantly to develop inter personal skill that will enable them to achieve higher goals”

And the Chief Patron, Professor Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice-Chancellor of IUT, said that “CENNOVATION will bring inspirations and motivations to young engineering minds to transform challenges into opportunities that will promote prosperous economies and a sustainable growth for generations to come”.

The programme was ended by giving prizes and certificates to the winners for their extraordinary performances in various events. At the end of the day, the programme was a huge success.
