Two cocktails exploded near Habibiur Rahman Hall of Rajshahi University Thursday night, causing panic among students.
Although it was not clear who were behind the blasts that occurred around 8:00pm, Bangladesh Chhatra League claimed that activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jammat-e-Islami, were responsible for the blasts.
Following the explosions, BCL leaders and activists brought out a protest processions on the campus and at different residential halls of the university.
University proctor Lutfar Rahman said that measures have been taken to avert any untoward situation on the campus.
