A Dhaka University student has died reportedly after hanging herself by the neck from a ceiling fan at her home in Dhaka’s Khilgaon.
The doctor at Dhaka Medical College Hospital declared Afia Sarika, 23, brought dead on Sunday night, Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia at the police camp there said.
Her sister Sumaiya told, Sarika was a second-year undergraduate marketing student in the university.
According to her, Sarika hanged herself by using a scarf at their home at Chowdhuryparha. She could not say why Sarika, the youngest of three sisters took her own life.
