The authorities of Islamic University launched five new faculties on the campus in Kushtia, IU registrar office officials said on Wednesday.
The five new faculties’ are- Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Biological Sciences.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif told New Age that the university vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Akari introduced the faculties as part of the organogram of the university.
According to the organogram, a total of three departments are under Faculty of Arts while five departments under Faculty of Social Sciences, two departments under Faculty of Sciences, five departments under Faculty of Engineering and Technology and three departments are under faculty of Biological Sciences.
