The 8th founding anniversary of ‘Anandashala’, a specialized school for autistic children, was celebrated on Jahangirngar University campus here today in a festive mood.
JU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the day’s main programme at the JU Senate Hall by cutting a cake at 10 am.
Pro-VC Professor Abul Hossain, Treasurer Professor Sheikh Manzurul Huq, President of Intellectual Disability Foundation Joharul Islam and Director (honorary) of Anandashala Professor Hanif Ali were present at the function, among others.
The specialized school, Anandashala, was established in 2009.
