HSC Examinee found dead in Dhanmondi Lake

Body of an adolescent boy has been recovered from Dhanmondi Lake in the capital on Tuesday.

The deceased is Sudipto Dutta Arjun, a higher secondary certificate examinee from Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College.

Locals informed the police when they saw a body floating in the lake this morning, and, police recovered his body.

Arjun lived with his family in the city’s Rayer Bazar area.

Officer in charge (Investigation) of Dhanmondi police station, Helal Uddin, told that the boy had bad breath and used to be rebuked for that.

His family put a lot of pressure on him for his study also, and so, he left home on 28 February and did not come back.

The family filed a general diary with the police station in this connection.

Helal Uddin told the correspondent that Arjun’s mother Chhanda Dutta and sister indentified his body.

The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
