HSC GPA-5 Receivers Education Quality Declined

The quality of education of the GPA-5 receivers in HSC examination has been decreases. The annual research report about “Governance Situation in Bangladesh” said that.

A senior research associate of the BRAC University’s Institute of Governance and Development Saida Selim Aziz said about the situation in education governance that, values of GPA-5 rapidly declining.

Only 20 students received GPA-5 where in 2003, while the number increased to 47 thousand 530, 2376 times in 2013. But the pass rate in this time around rose only 3 times.

70 percent of the students that received GPA-5 in 2013-14 academic sessions have not been obtained the pass mark for Dhaka University admission.

In the last three years, 51 percent, 52 percent and 55 percent students were failed to obtain the pass mark for Dhaka University admission.
