Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed firm determination to free Bangladesh of illiteracy through science and technology-based education.

Bangabandhu had prioritised education and nationalised primary education. The current government stands on the same values.

She said this on Sunday (July 23) at the HSC results ceremony at Ganabhaban.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and concerned board chairmen handed over a copy of the results of 8 general education boards, madrasa and technical education boards to the Prime Minister.

She further spoke of how her father in just three and a half years established economic sustainability and ultimately independence. He was the architect of a country that gained recognition from the 116 countries of the world and was granted membership of their 26 international organisations.

This year the average pass rate of all 10 boards is 68.91 percent.
