Recently Missing ex-NSU student found in Dhaka

A former student of North South University, who went missing with his car and driver from Chittagong city recently, was found from Bashundhara area in the capital early Thursday.

Zunayed Ahmed Akib, 25, son of late Altaf Hossain from Chittagong’s Kushumbag area, who went missing on Monday, is now staying in one of his relative’s house in Dhaka, said his family.

Zunayed’s driver Mohammad Mostafa, 30, was dropped at Tulroad area of the port city on Wednesday night by some miscreants.

Describing the incident, Mostafa said that they had been dragged into a microbus and blindfolded that night by a group of miscreants. But, he could not recognize the people who picked them up.

Mostafa was talking to newsmen at the office of Chittagong Metropolitan Police on Thursday.

Mostafa said he was kept in a dark room while Zunayed in another room.

But, Mostafa did not understand what happened to Zunayed afterwards, he added saying that the abductors did not assault him.

Officer-in-charge of Khulshi police station Nizamuddin said they are quizzing Mostafa and would bring Zunayed to Chittagong for further investigation.

The ex-NSU student of BBA department Zunayed went missing from Chittagong city’s Wasa intersection with his car driver on his way back home from Agrabad on Monday.

Zunayed’s brother-in-law SM Abul Manzoor told the Prothom Alo that Zunayed phoned him on Wednesday night and said some people dropped him off in Dhaka’s Basundhara area.

Zunayed’s family filed a general diary (GD) with Khulsi police station in this connection on Monday.
