The education ministry on Tuesday asked all the schools to appoint security guards at the entrances of the schools aiming to ensure safety of the institutions.
It also asked school authorities to form a vigilance team comprising of teachers to ensure over all security of schools.
All secondary level schools, madrassahs, English medium schools will have to appoint security guards, reads a ministry circular issued Tuesday.
The government took the decision as the ministry found that the securities were not up to the mark in the schools of metropolitan cities including capital and district towns, said the circular.
