A schoolteacher was killed as a truck hit his motorcycle in Shamolipara Bus-stand area on the Bogra-Nagarbari highway under Ullapara upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Korban Ali, 45, head teacher of Lahiri Mohonpur Girl’s High school of the upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a speedy truck hit Korban’s motorbike in the area at about 11:00am while he was crossing the road.
Critically injured Korban Ali was sent to Ullapara Care Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
