The Detective Branch of police on Monday detained two youths for their alleged involvement in leaking of question papers for Junior School Certificate examination in Jashore.
The detainees, picked up from Taherpur upazila, were identified as Hadiuzzaman, 38, and Krishna Mitra, 25, from Monirampur area.
Moniruzzaman, officer in-charge of Jashore DB Police, said that on information from the cybercrime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, a team had arrested the duo.
Police also recovered four mobile phones, eight SIM cards (one registered as a bKash number), and screenshots of some 11 pages of question papers to be uploaded on a Facebook page from their possession.
‘The duo also took good amount of money from some clients. A case has been lodged under the Digital Security Act with Monirampur police station in this connection,’ Moniruzzaman added.
