39th BCS preliminary results, 40th circular in Sept

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has decided to publish the results of 39th (special) Bangladesh Civil Services (BCS) preliminary test and circular of 40th BCS in the second week of September.

BPSC chairman Mohammad Sadiq confirmed this on Thursday.

The decisions regarding the 39th and 40th BCS recruitments were taken in a meeting of BPSC today, he said.

The BPSC chairman, however, did not disclose the dates.

The announcement of 39th (special) BCS preliminary test results and circular of 40th BCS will be published on the official website of BPSC within the first two weeks of September, said Mohammad Sadiq.

The preliminary test of the 39th special BCS was held on 3 August where 37,583 job-seekers vied for 4,542 assistant surgeon posts and 250 dental surgeon posts, according to BPSC.

Public administration ministry officials said that they had sent a list of around 2,000 posts lie vacant in several ministries.

Of these posts, 200 posts are for administration cadre, 75 for police, 25 for foreign service, 45 for economic affairs, 24 for tax cadre, 22 for audit cadre, and more than 200 for education cadre and 12 for Ansar cadre.

Moreover, public administration ministry also suggested recruitment of 32 in customs cadre.
