IU former exam controller dies

Mohammad Ali, a former controller of examinations of Islamic University in Kuhstia, passed away in Pabna on early Monday.

He breathed his last at his residence at around 1:00am. Mohammad Ali was 68. He had been suffering from heart and liver diseases for long time. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and host of relatives.

He served as an acting controller of examinations for twelve years. Prior to the post, he completed graduation and post-graduation from Rajshahi University.

IU vice-chancellor professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, pro-vice-chancellor professor M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer professor M Selim Toha and former proctor and syndicate member professor M Mahbubar Rahman expressed deep shock at the death of Mohammad Ali and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family. He will be buried at his family graveyard in Pabna after Zohor prayers.
