Nasrul urges students to acquire knowledge on science education

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid urged students to acquire knowledge on science education for the advancement of the country on Thursday (08 February).

The government is providing opportunities including infrastructural development and enhancing research works to promote science education, he said while addressing the inaugural function of National Science Festival- 2018 at the Dhaka Residential Model College here, an official release said.

Scientist Dr Ali Asgar, journalists and officials of different organisations, among others, addressed the function with Principal of Dhaka Residential Model College Brigadier General Sheikh Shariful Islam in the chair.

Nasrul said “It is the high time for innovating of energy-saving new technology as demand of energy is gradually increasing. Research is necessary on how to make the renewable energy popular.”

Students from 200 schools and college are participating in the three-day science festival.
