Police on Tuesday arrested a teenage boy for allegedly trying to rape a Class-IV girl at Borachapra village in Dupchanchia upazila.
The arrest was made after a case was filed over the incident that took place on July 14. According to the case statement, the 16-year-old boy entered the house of the girl, his neighbour, in the morning of the day while her parents were outside. He swooped on the girl and tried to rape her.Hearing the screams of the girl, neighbours rushed in and save her while the boy managed to flee.
Officer-in-charge of Dupchanchia Police Station Abdur Razzak said the arrestee was produced before a court.
