In Tangail, Ruhul Amin, 20, — a first-year honours student of Mirzapur University College — was killed and his cousin injured when a bus ran them over while they were standing with a motor cycle at Mirzapur bypass on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Mirzapur upazila on Saturday.
Ruhul was the son of Rafiq Miah of Chakleshawar village. The injured Sumon Miah, 21, was admitted to the Kumudini Hospital.
Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee. The body was handed over to the family and a case was filed in this regard.
