The first day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in five districts under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) was held peacefully today. One lakh 12 thousand examinees appeared in the exam.
As many as 24,571 students from science group, 30,688 from humanities group and 57,700 students from business administration group, totaling 1, 12,959 took exam today.
Control room sources said there was no expulsion of candidates from any centre on the first day in Chittagong, but 279 students were absent from Bengali First Paper examination today.
The students participated in the examination from 1,007 high schools through 169 centers.
A total of one lakh one thousand 143 out of one lakh one thousand examinees from 1,007 high schools participated in 169 centres.
A total of 72 vigilance teams including 12 special ones formed by the CEB authorities are monitoring situation in and outside the centres to check any sorts of copying during the examination.
Mohammad Mahbub Hasan, controller of CEB told that the examination was held in a peaceful and fair manner.
