JS body wants admission quota for expats’ warden

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education ministry at a meeting on Sunday discussed the introduction of merit-based quota for admission into schools and colleges inside Bangladesh for the warden of expatriate Bangladeshis.

The committee came up with the discussion at a meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here, committee chairman Afsarul Ameen told dainikshiksha.com.

The committee asked the education ministry to submit a formal proposal in this regard in the next meeting of the committee.

Committee members who attended the meeting includes, education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Mohammad Hasan Mahmud, Md Salim Uddin Tarafdar, Golam Mostafa, Mohammd Mamunur Rashid and Selina Akter Banu.

The committee will make recommendation to this end following the formal proposal from the education ministry.
