Academicians at a day-long training programme today stressed on enhancing capacity of the public university officials to ensure efficient office and financial managements on monetary issues.
“Proper office and financial managements in any institution can ensure best use of funds and bring more dynamism in administrative works,” said Vice-chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah.
Kalimullah said this while addressing the training on ‘Office and Financial Management of University Officials’ organised by BRUR unit of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Academic Building No-1 on the campus as the chief guest.
Director of IQAC at BRUR Professor Dr Nazmul Haque presided over the training programme participated by the officials and employees working in the administrative and academic sections of the university.
Associate Professor of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies of Dhaka University Saber Ahmed Chowdhury and Registrar of BRUR Muhammad Ibrahim Kabir conducted the training programme as resource persons.
The resource persons in their presentations highlighted all aspects of pensions, gratuity, financial accounts, budget related issues, allocations and expenditure as well as necessary aspects and issues of proper office management.
They also discussed detailed information about the procedures of getting the desired development budget allocations of the university through systematical ways and its proper implementation.
