‘Make students aware against corruption’

Speakers at an anti-corruption quiz competition have stressed educating and inspiring young students with honesty, good moral character and patriotism in building a corruption-free society.

BSSThey stressed on creating anti-corruption sentiment among the school students for changing their behavior in building a corruption free society to accelerate uplift and make the independence meaningful for every citizen.

Committee of Concern Citizens (CCC), an inspired organization of
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), organised the competition at Khademul Islam Girls School in the city on Thursday.

CCC President Prof Abdus Salam, Vice-president Munira Rahman, Member Sharif Ahmmed, Headmaster of the school Ranajit Kumar and TIB Area Manager Mahmud Ali spoke on the occasion.

The discussants laid importance on creation of awareness among the mass people, especially the young generation, to eliminate corruption from the society.

Concerted effort is crucially important to check bribery. They called upon the media to come forward in support of the campaign. All quarters should have to launch fight against corruption that hinders economic progress.

The speakers further said institutional corruptions have to be checked first before taking lawful action against a person who involved in corruption willingly or unwillingly.

They also said though elimination of corruption is very difficult task, nevertheless, we have to work together to reduce corruption.
