East West University (EWU) Rotaract Club arranged a voluntary blood donation programme on Wednesday, 27 July, 2016 at the EWU premise, Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The programme was inaugurated by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, EWU and former governor of the Bangladesh Bank, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin along with the Vice-Chancellor of EWU, Prof. Dr. MM Shahidul Hassan.

On this occasion, they appreciated the students’ of Rotarect Club for taking this kind of noble initiative. They said there is no greater sacrifice than sacrifice own blood for others. They added that, students should be engaged with this kind of work and that will be developing their humanity and patriotism. The modarators of EWU Rotaract Club, Chowdhury Omar Sharif and Mizanur Rashid Rupk and the members’ of the EWU Rotaract Club also present on the occasion.

Students from different departments attended the campaign to donate blood and nearly 100 units of blood were collected during the day long programme. And Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation provided the technical assistance for blood collection.
