Bangla Academy has announced that the Ekushey Boi Mela is closed temporarily due to rough weather.
Visitors were barred from entering Bangla Academy compound and Suhrawardy Udyan.
Jalal Ahmed, member secretary of the book fair committee said the tin-structure around the north fence of the fair compound in Suhrawardy Udyan has been damaged.
The fair will be resumed as soon as repair works are done and the water is removed.
