Missing JnU student’s body recovered from Buriganga river

Police recovered the body of a Jagannath University (JnU) student from Buriganga river near Sadarghat launch terminal in Dhaka on Tuesday evening (July 31).

The deceased was identified as Ariful Islam, 22, fourth year student of JU Political Science Department. 

South Keraniganj police station inspector (Operation) Kamal Hossain told that Arif used to go to University by crossing the Buriganga river everyday. He went missing after getting out of home Monday. Later on Tuesday, his body was found floating on water.

Deceased’s elder brother Md Rashed identified the body and it was sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the inspector added.
