National talent hunt competition 2016 starts

Nationwide creative talent hunt competition 2016 started today with a colorful rally that was brought out from Curzon Hall of Dhaka University.

The rally led by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, ended after coming at the Central Shaheed Minar.

Education Secretary M Sohrab Hossain, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Bangladesh Bank former governor Dr Farashuddin Ahmad, Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Director General Professor Fahima Khatun, DU Professor Dr Akhtaruzzaman, Education Ministry Additional Secretary SA Mahmud and other officials and teachers and students joined the rally.

The completion will be held at the upazila level for four days.

Addressing the rally at the Central Shaheed Minar, the education minister said the country needs talented and patriotic new generation to build the ‘Sonar Bangla’ of Bangabandhu’s dream.

He urged all to extend cooperation to make the talent hunt programme a success.

Meanwhile, the education minister attended a function at Azimpur Home Economic College in the city to distribute prize among the winners of annual sports competition.

College Principal Prof. Shamsun Nahar presided over the function.
