Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal on Sunday joined as the new registrar of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. Prior to the appointment, Kamal retired as registrar of Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology, Cumilla, said a press release. The newly appointed registrar took charges of his office on Sunday replacing former registrar Muhammad Ibrahim Kabeer.
Officials and employees of the university congratulated the newly appointed registrar with bouquets after he assumed office.
The 59th syndicate meeting of the university formed a search committee on December 11 last year for appointing a registrar at the university.
Kamal was appointed to the post following the recommendation of the search committee, the release also said.
