College student stabbed in capital

A group of miscreants stabbed a college student at Malibagh level crossing in the city on Sunday.

Our reporter said a group of 5-6 youths attacked Alvi Hasan, 17, a first year student of Wills Little Flower School and College, at the level crossing around 3:00 pm.

They stabbed Alvi indiscriminately in his both the hands and fled the scene hurriedly, leaving him injured.

He was first taken to the DMCH and then shifted to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) in the city’s Agargaon area.

Talking to reporters at the hospital, Alvi alleged that a group of youths, including Kamal and Tito, attacked him.

He, however, declined to disclose reason behind the incident.
