The admission tests of the first year honors course of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) under academic session 2017-2018 was held on the university here yesterday.

The admission tests of the aspirants of the Engineering faculties were held from 9 am to 12 am while the tests of the Architecture faculties were held from 9 am to 12 am and 2 pm to 4 pm in two phases, said a BUET press release here.

A total of 12,138 students appeared the tests against 1050 seats under different faculties of the university, the release added.

BUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Saiful Islam visited different examination centers on the campus.

Admission Committee Chairman and Mechanical Engineering Faculty Dean Professor Dr Md Maksud Helali and other teachers of the university accompanied the VC during his visit.

According to the release, results of the admission tests would be published on November 3.
